What bands are actually with Emo genre?

PeePoop - You must have been seen people with 'one eye close' hairstyle. You must have been seen people wearing black shirt with bands print. You must have been seen people with black paint nails. You must have seen people with lousy tight jeans and alot of piercing. Yes, we all ever saw about that.

Recently, worlds have alot of making communities sites, like this Multiply for examples, or any other sites like Myspace, Friendster, Facebook, Liveconnector, etc. When we visit someones page, and all we found was black background, with alot of desperation words there, contains blood and self suicides, ehm well that makes him/her Emo. So whats the problem?

I remember clearly the first time i hear about Dashboard Confessional (DC). It was in early 2001. One of my friend gave me Drowing EP released in 2000. Well, my friend said DC is Emo. That time, of course among of my friends, nobody knows about DC yet, and they say i'm freaks. Then i begin to search all bands in same genre. Then i got Further Seems Forever 'The Moon is Down' album, then Taking Back Sunday, Coheed & Cambria, Funeral For A Friend, Saosin, and any other famous bands now. And they kept telling me i'm freaks, listen to list name of band that doesnt even famous here

But what happens now? alot of people just act and claim themself as Emo. Many people act as if dying and death. Many people use desperation phrase. Then i guess Emo just become a trend, not even a music genre anymore. It's a disaster.

But one thing in my mind is they arent Emo, at least for list of bands many people claimed Emo. Theyre Pop Punk. And for other bands like Coheed and Cambria, Avenged Sevenfold, As i Lay Dying, Atreyu, Beetwen The Buried & Me, etc, they were Metal, real pure metal. People said they are emo just because they listened to Atreyu, the Used, My Chemical Romance, Saosin, Finch, Funeral For A Friend, Avenged Sevenfold, etc. Well guess what? they are not Emo, not even close, they are Pop Punk. Well most people know Emo is short for emotional. Well its not, it's short for Emotive Hardcore. So people who said Emo is Emotional Punk or whatever is just one of the trend victims. And it Sucks.

I'm sick of all "Little Teeny Boopers" that claim his/her self as Emo, but all they hear is mainly just pop stuff. And, for the record, I'm not Emo (who cares anyway?hahahaha). Emo People = Depressed People, and i'm not even Depressed.

You are Emo when you haven't smile and laugh for 3 god damn year.
